Let's talk kiwis. Is it a bird? Fruit? Berry? Well, a kiwi is all of those but we're focusing on the kiwifruit, which actually is considered to be a very large berry (yes, seriously). To make things even more confusing, there actually are kiwifruit that are the size of a grape, which are called kiwi berries. But the one you might be most familiar with is the green, fuzzy-skinned guy and the yellow, sweeter Gold Kiwi.

China is one of the largest kiwifruit producers in the world, but kiwifruits are also grown in the US where the season for them is during the winter months. Kiwis are actually a great winter fruit due to its high vitamin C levels (they even beat the all mighty orange), which might keep you safe from all those winter germs (yuck).

If you're feeling lazy (we all do sometimes, no judgement), you can enjoy kiwis with peel and all. The skin actually contains a lot of fiber and holds onto the big part of the vitamin C and if you're enjoying kiwi in a item like smoothies, you are never going to notice anyway. How to Peel a Kiwi - The Peeler Method

There are a few ways you can go about cutting kiwifruits. This first (vegetable peeler) method works great if your fruit is still a little unripe and on the hard side. If your fruit is softer, please proceed below and check out the other peeling method!

Start by trimming the ends of your kiwifruit. Take the kiwifruit in one hand and the vegetable peeler in the other. Start peeling off the skin while simultaneously rotating the fruit.
